The fullness of the Lord

This week has been so full. Scott and I went away for four days to celebrate our (belated) anniversary. It was awesome! I have begun a relationship with a mentor. She and I are going to study the women of the Bible then I will be sharing the study with my small group of girls, juniors and seniors in high school. I felt it might be a great time to be in a mentoring relationship during the adoption process. This morning a young lady approached me about being her mentor! I was so honored. Please pray that I will do her request justice.

Another prayer request. Due to changes in Liberia, the wait time for referral is increasing. Thus far I have not felt any impatience, please pray with me that I will continue to be patient. Pray also for three families that have lost their referrals. How heartbreaking. Hopefully, the wait on this end of the process will help prevent things like that from happening later in the process.

A friend of our in ministry with Navigators shared some verses in an email this morning:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5-6
"He who did not spare His own son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?
Romans 8:32
"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5
"And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
2 Corinthians 4: 16-18
"He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together."
Colossians 1:17
Yeah! Trust Him with everything, for He alone is worthy!

I'm glad you had a good (belated) Anniversary weekend. Peter and I still haven't done anything for our anniversary... we keep putting it off (It was in Feb!!! :) But I think we are going to leave Jo with my folks and get away for a weekend sometime this fall because we probably won't be able to do anything next Feb. with H. home! So our Anniversary weekend wil be waayyy-belated! :)

I'll be praying for you over this coming weekend as you pray for direction concerning your referral request...
And, CONGRATULATIONS on your I-171h!! Wow! That was record-fast!! I'm really happy for you to have that step out of the way.

My dear sister, I just finished reading your entire blog and with tears in my eyes I say, "Go and do life and do it his way." Keep your eyes focused on him and your willingness to say yes. Don't look to the left or to the right, but listen to him as he says "This is the way walk ye in it." In response to your Lord's request you said "yes" and although you want others to shout AMEN at your obedience, don't let their (our) lack of enthusiasm sway one bit. I knew the Lord was telling me that I wasn't yet done having children even though I knew what the family's reaction was going to be, but it didn't matter. I wanted to be obediant to Him even though I was scared and didn't know the answers to all the questions I had about being a mom to three young kids. If I hadn't been obediant Diane, I wouldn't have my precious son, Christian. And Diane, your child is waiting for you to rescue him or her from the evil one who wants to kill, steal and destroy his/her life. You can't read Deut. 43:5 without realizing it's God speaking to you as He says, "I will bring your children from the east and the west." He's bringing your child to you, the same way He brought Christian to me. Please forgive me for not supporting you more. It's amazing how selfish we can be. This isn't about us. Life isn't about us. It isn't our story. It's His story and He's invited your family to be a part of it in a special way. Keep focused on that. I love you, your sister, Karen.
